Great Plains Audiobooks

What does a narrator do when she has no luck narrating books she’d really like to narrate because rights holders won’t deal with an individual, rather than an audibook publishing company?  She founds her own audiobook publishing company!  During the pandemic, Ann created Great Plains Audiobooks in order to publish books that spoke to her heart. With an incredibly narrow niche, one aspect of Great Plains’ mission is to produce books by authors from or stories about the midlands of the United States. Being born and raised in Nebraska, the Great Plains holds a special place in her heart. The second focus of her company is to bring Scandinavian literature to audio, in honor of her Swedish heritage.  Remarkably, Great Plains Audiobooks has already been highlighted in AudioFile Magazine and Publishers Weekly. While her volume is low (only a handful of titles published each year) her audiobooks are beautifully produced, and are winning awards!  So head on over to and see what’s going on!
