Overview:

Narrating since 2008, I have been awarded four AudioFile Magazine’s Earphones Awards, and been a multi-time finalist for the Society of Voice Arts Awards (2016, 2017, 2018).  As of 2024 I’ve narrated more than 350 audiobooks.

  • Equipment: a snazy AT4047 and an Austrian Audio OC818; I’ve recorded in my custom-built very sound-proofed, hermetically-sealed  booth which my husband (who built it) is probably considering putting a lock on the door –the OUTSIDE of the door–  for…
  • Clients including Audible, Bee, Blackstone, Brilliance, Dreamscape, Hachette, Harper, Macmillan, Oasis, Penguin Random House, Tantor and many independently-published authors.

  • I speak conversational Swedish and am adept at pronunciation of Nordic language words.

  • I excel at non-fiction (several Earphones Awards) but also delight in fiction.

  • I’m adept at several accents, children’s voices, male/female dialog.

  • Originally from Nebraska, I have a broad knowledge base including all things Midwestern, rural, 4-H, fishing, hunting, wildlife management, Lutheran potlucks, and horse stuff…

  • Now residing in Northern California, I enjoy long-distance running, wine tasting, spending time in Sweden, and collecting cool rocks on my hikes to bring home and polish in my rock tumbler.

Connecting with the story and characters is of paramount importance to me, and whether narrating professionally or volunteering my narration services for those with print disabilities, I strive to breathe life into the text with a fierce devotion to authenticity.

I am an active member of both the Audio Publisher Association and the Professional Narrators Association (PANA).
