TEACHING/EVENTS

Ann regularly teaches audiobook narration classes and individual coaching sessions at VoiceOne, in San Francisco, as well as private one-on-one coaching sessions via Zoom. 

In addition to joining authors to read excerpts aloud at book launches, a popular presentation Ann occasionally gives to authors groups is “How and Why to Make an Audiobook”. April, 2019, Ann attended World-Voices Organization mini conference in South San Francisco. She was joined by Audio Publisher Association Coordinator Janet Benson, and multi-award-winning narrator PJ Ochlan, on a panel to discuss the audiobook industry, moderated by the renowned Pat Fraley.

June, 2019, the Hear Now Festival and Independent Audiobook Awards were held in Kansas City, MO. Ann was cast in an audio drama, “The Road to Predation” by Camilla and PJ Ochlan, directed by PJ Ochlan. She also had the honor of presenting at the Independent Audiobook Awards, and sitting on a panel about audiobook narration with star of stage/screen and audiobook narrator Dion Graham, and fellow narrator Karyn O’Bryant.

September, 2019, Ann had the distinct honor to sit on a panel with Golden Voice, Hall of Famer Simon Vance, and SAG-AFTRA National Director of Organizing, Steve Sidawi, moderated by SAG-AFTRA member and KGO-TV/ABC7 Reporter & Anchor, Dion Lim. It was a packed house at the La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley, CA, and the panelists enjoyed sharing their experiences, discoveries and insights on the audiobook industry.
